About the Data

The data used in this project comes from official 2024 Major League Baseball roster information and player physical profiles, cross-referenced with historical statistics from the Sean Lahman Baseball Database. The dataset tracks biometric measurements—including height in inches, weight in pounds, primary fielding position, batting side, and pitching hand—across active players on 30 Major League teams during the 2024 season.
